Lincoln County has not only a diverse geography, but a diverse population.

Colorado has one of the nation's most educated workforces, ranking third among the 50 states (behind Massachusetts and Maryland) for percentage of residents with a bachelor's degree or higher. Also, Colorado ranks fifth in the country for science and engineering doctorate degrees per one million residents.

Colorado's high school students lead the nation in college entrance exam scores, ranking first for having the highest ACT and SAT scores per 1,000 households. In addition, 88 percent of Colorado residents have completed high school.
