Lincoln County has opportunities for research in a variety of areas.  Morgan Community College is a satellite campus that provides educational opportunties for the area.

Lincoln County is home to many species of wildlife, which has generated a wide range of scientific research.  This abundance of wildlife and variety of ecosystems provides research and observation opportunties for scientists and biologists from all across the country.

The large concentration of agriculture related industry also provides opportunties for research and innovation. 

Lincoln County's geographic location puts it just over an hour away from major metropolitan areas.  Colorado ranks 4th among states that generated the most economic activity per dollar of funding from the National Institutes of Health.  Major health centers are a short drive away, as are major universities and other research institutions.
